PROGRAMS
April's program, "Gardens of India", with Joyce Bakshi, is a guest event with a
raffle. Please let Jeanette Surette know how many guests you will be bringing
by April 1.
May's meeting will be BYO-bag lunch.
Off-site (location(s) will be announced soon) to prepare for the Parker Tavern
Colonial Faire Day, May 10, and the Geraniums and More Plant Sale, May 17.
HORTICULTURE
Colonial Fair Day Workshop Thursday, March 27 at 9:30am, Kim Verdries home.
Come join us for a fun morning as we put together tea bags, lavender sachets and
packets of oatmeal milk bath. Enjoy the wonderful scents of lavender, rose and
spearmint! These items will be for sale at Parker Tavern's Colonial Fair Day in May where
the RGC will be showing what we have done in the gardens in addition to selling
a few related items using the types of herbs that we grow. A sign up sheet will be at the
March meeting or please e-mail Michele or Kim if
you are interested. Thank you!
A Letter to the Club
Dear Garden Club Members,
The Middlesex Conservation District will be holding its annual Spring Plant Sale
on April 25/26. Items for sale will include tree and shrub seedlings,
perennials, herbs, fruits, groundcovers and garden supplies (rain barrels,
compost bins, fertilizers, etc).
All purchases support the MCD's environmental programs. We specialize in native
plants, in starter sizes not typically found at garden centers. If you are
interested in receiving our sale brochures for your garden club (we accept
orders in advance through March 28), please respond to this email with your
mailing address and I will be happy to send them out.
