"But each spring...a gardening instinct, sure as the sap rising in the trees, stirs within us.
We look about and decide to tame another little bit of ground."

December 13, 2007

Warm Holiday greetings to all Garden Club members and families! It seems very fitting that our Club starts the Holiday Season with the lovely ceremony of the Memory Tree. We are so fortunate to have so many loved ones to remember and happy events to celebrate. Thank you all for making this an event filled with human warmth, even if the weather did not cooperate.

May you all have a happy and healthy holiday season with people that you enjoy. We look forward to seeing you (and your guest?) at our very special winter meeting this Thursday, December 13. Please be sure that you call Jeanette if you are bringing a guest. ~~Alice

Save the Date

All Reading Garden Club members are invited to participate in an upcoming Reading civic event to help determine and develop civic priorities. The date will be Wednesday, February 27, and more details will follow closer to the time.

Horticulture

Thank you to all who were able to help with decorating Parker Tavern for the holidays. The event was well attended and all of the fresh greens, pomanders, and colonial-style arrangements looked great! Happy holidays from Michele and Kim.
