"But each spring...a gardening instinct, sure as the sap rising in the trees, stirs within us.
We look about and decide to tame another little bit of ground."

Horticulture

Thank you to all who were able to attend our workshop for the Parker Tavern Colonial Faire day. We made some very nice sachets, milk bath and packages of tea with the kinds of herbs that are grown at Parker Tavern. The event will take place on Saturday, May 10 from 10 am until 3 pm. Please consider signing up to work for a couple of hours. We will be providing information about the Reading Garden Club in addition to showing visitors what we have planted at the Parker Tavern. There will be maps of the plantings and information about what the herbs were used for during colonial times. In addition we will be selling live herb plants along with the items that were made at the workshop. The sign up will be available at the meeting or you can contact Michele or Kim. Thank you!
